Are there recipes?
Yes. Every menu in the book comes with its recipes, a make-ahead plan, and the safe cooking temperature for each dish. The Thanksgiving and Christmas chapters have a full shopping list.
Will it help with Thanksgiving this year?
Yes. The holiday plan starts three weeks before the day, and there's a shorter version if you're starting later.
Do I need fine china or silver?
No. Most of it uses plain white plates, cloth napkins and candles. Secondhand silverplate is covered for anyone who wants it.
